Some kids just have everything…

Are you looking for some cool and unique gift ideas for kids in your life? I’ve spent a LOT of time trying to do the same for my kids. It can definitely be stressful!

There’s nothing I dislike more than buying toys that get looked at once then tossed in the toy box. We want to get something they’ll be excited about and most certainly play with for years to come. Let’s talk about my top list of gift ideas for kids!

Cool & Unique Gift Ideas for Kids

Most of these awesome products my kids have had personally. Some items on the list are there because we think they’re super cool and have great reviews.

1. Strider Balance Bike

Strider Balance Bike

The Strider balance bikes are an awesome gift! Both of my boys had Strider bikes when they were younger. Training wheels were never a thing in our household and they were both riding dirt bikes at age 3 after using this product.

There are several different sizes and styles to choose from. The 12 Sport shown in the picture is for children ages 18 months – 5 years. The company offers a lot of cool accessories for their bikes too, such as the snow ski set shown below.

2. MYNT3D Professional Printing 3D Pen or MYNT3D-MP032 Junior 3D Pen

This is another item my kids have and love! My 11 year old has the Professional version and my 6 year old has the Junior. These are super easy to use and allow kids to use their imagination for hours on end.

The Professional version has an OLED screen to monitor temperature and also has a button to increase or decrease the extrusion speed. It is USB powered and can even be hooked up to a battery power bank for on the go use! Also, the hot tip can be replaced if necessary.

MYNT3D Junior 3D Pen has an ergonomic grip for small hands. This pen has no hot external components so there is no burn risk. The Junior 3D Pen is battery powered and charged with a Micro USB.

Please note that you will need to buy extra filament. There is a huge variety of colors to choose from. Keep in mind that the Junior takes a different filament due to the low temperature.

3. Makedo Cardboard Construction Tools for Kids

I’ve said it time and time again… “They like the box more than the toy.” This awesome product caters to that theory exactly! We don’t have this toy personally but boy does it look fun!

This product is a mix of specifically designed and reusable kids tools that offer limitless imaginative play with cardboard. This particular set includes (1) Safe Saw, (1) SCRU-driver, (36) SCRUs, (12) SCRU-XLs, a Bonus Mini-Tool and a Toolbox.

4. INDO BOARD

My tweenager son and pretty much all of his friends have an INDO Board! They make the original board as well as a smaller version for younger kids.

The INDO Board is designed to improve balance, stability, coordination and is a LOT of fun! The designs are really cool too! The price might seem a little steep but this product is very high quality.

5. Minger LED Strip Lights

This product was a big hit in our house! We’ve actually purchased three different sets of these. This item is for both younger and older kids but will probably need set up by an adult. Please note that these are very easy to install!

The Minger LED Strip Lights have an adhesive backing as well as clips (this set comes with 20) to attach them to pretty much anything. There are 20 color options and a remote to change your settings from anywhere in the house.

6. Landwave 4-Sided Skateboard/BMX Ramps

If the kid in your life loves riding bicycles or skateboards, these ramps are a must!! Let me first say that these are the highest quality ramps we’ve owned. We actually bought 2 sets and my kids have spent endless hours playing with them.

These ramps can be used for skateboarding, BMX bikes, inline skates and RC cars. They are the only stackable ramps made and require no tools. Also, they are made in the USA!

7. GoPro

Every kid I know loves the digital action cameras! There is a big price point difference between the GoPro and the VanTop but there is also a huge quality difference as well.

The VanTop Junior K3 is a kid friendly version of the action cameras. It comes with a waterproof case, a helmet mount, a helmet belt and a bicycle mount. It holds a 32G memory card and a rechargeable battery for more than one hour of constant use.

The rugged and waterproof GoPro HERO6 produces high quality 4K HD video. With it’s GP1 chip, this model produces 2x the performance and next-level video stabilization for live streaming. The GoPro also connects to your phone and can send a real-time feed.

8. Carpool Karaoke – The Mic

If you haven’t seen Carpool Karaoke, you need to check it out! James Corden does his thing carpooling and doing karaoke with various musicians and celebrities.

Even if you haven’t seen the show, the Carpool Karaoke Mic will be a hit with the kids! It hooks up to your cars FM radio via wireless or an aux cable and has a long lasting rechargeable battery. Bluetooth music to sing along to via any music or karaoke app!

9. American Ninja Warrior Sets

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but a lot of the things my family likes are outside toys! And that’s not a coincidence… we love the outdoors! American Ninja Warrior sets are a great way to get your kids outside!

This set includes 9 hanging attachments to create you own backyard obstacle course. The ninjaline is easy to install and there are a lot of extras you can add to the course!

10. Gamenote Colorful Kids Origami Kit

All of the colorful paper is so much fun and creating something so unique is definitely a confidence builder for kids! The exact origin of origami is unknown; however, many historians believe that it has been around for over a thousand years.

This fun origami kit comes with 118 colorful papers and a 55-page instruction booklet. Origami is basically the art of folding paper into creative shapes so there is no need for glue or any other messy adhesive.

11. Yookidoo Submarine Spray Station

The Yookidoo Submarine Spray Station is so much fun we actually bought a second one when my youngest son was born. Bath toys are a megahit in our house and this one is no exception.

There are two separate toys with this set. One is a submarine you set in the water. It has a water circulation pump that pumps the water through the hose and out the sprayer that looks like a diver. You spray the water into the funnel toy that is suction cupped to the tub. The funnel part is cool but my kids absolutely loved the sprayer!

12. Tech Will Save Us Electro Dough Kit

As a homeschool mom, I love the STEM toys and my kids do too! The Electro Dough Kit is for ages 4+ but will they need adult assistance.

First, the kit give you instructions to make your own conducting and non-conducting dough (although you can buy kits that come with dough). The kit teaches about electrical circuit building, which makes the dough light up and buzz. There are many different projects you can do to teach the kiddo in your life about electricity.

13. The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game

The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game is so much fun for little kids. We’ve had this game through both kids and the Amazon reviews are 5 star!

The child spins the spinner and uses the squirrel squeezer to pick up the matching colored acorn. This game reinforces color learning, helps develop matching skills and hand-eye coordination.

14. The Original AirFort Build a Fort in 30 Seconds, Inflatable Fort for Kids

This product is just totally cool! It comes in several different colors and designs, including a UFO, Farmer’s Barn and Tiki Hut.

The AirForts are quite spacious at 6.5ft wide and 4ft tall. Keep in mind that these forts are inflated via a standard box fan, which is not included.

15. PlasmaCar

The PlasmaCar is a super fun toy and extremely well built! My kids have a PlasmaCar that has lasted them years (which is unheard of in our home).

This award winning toy can be ridden indoors or outdoors. The age range is 3+ but it can support up to 220lbs! To ride the PlasmaCar, you put your feet on the footrests and start moving the steering wheel back and forth.

16. Beat That! – The Bonkers Battle of Wacky Challenges!

This game looks like so much fun for older kids! With 160 ridiculous dexterity-based challenges, this game is great for both kids and adults.

The game includes 160 Challenge Cards, 80 Betting Tokens, 10 Cups, 5 Balls, 4 Dice, Chopsticks, Memo Pad, Tape Measure and a Sand Timer. The manufacturer says it’s suitable for kids ages 9+.

17. Perplexus or Pindaloo

Games that require hand-eye coordination are great gift ideas for kids! The Perplexus is a 3D Labyrinth type game in a sphere. You have to twist and turn the sphere to control the ball making its way through the maze.

Pindaloo is a juggling game! We have this at our house and could play it for hours on end. It’s fun for both kids and adults alike. The game says it’s intended for ages 9+ but my 6 year old plays with supervision.
